Spicy Dry Rub

Makes about 16 ounces

I first created this dry rub for BBQ Ribs; since then I have used it as a spicy seasoning for many recipes. Versatile!

Incorporate the following ingredients and store in a jar. This rub has a long shelf life.

  • 1/3 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup chili powder
  • 3 tablespoons smoked paprika
  • 3 tablespoons garlic powder
  • 2 tablespoons cumin
  • 1 tablespoon oregano
  • 1 tablespoon toasted onion powder
  • 1-1/2 teaspoon sea salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • **optional – cayenne pepper if you like heat
